This was a very good value -- very clean, welcoming, and just steps to the main train station. Very convenient. I had stayed in a Mitsui Garden Hotel "Premier" in Tokyo which was fabulous, and neglected to notice that this wasn't a "premier" level as well. That was evident in the small lobby and fewer bathroom ammenities. Nice that they had coffee/tea and snacks available to guests all afternoon and evening. The staff were super friendly and helped me with some basic tourist navigation for the bus and map orientation. This was a good value hotel option, especially since I was out touring most of the time and didn't hang out much in my room. Ready access to train and busses made it easy to cover lots of ground in Kyoto. Great for a tight budget, but if you have a little wiggle room, I might look for something a few blocks away that might have a better view.

Absolutely wonderful stay. So close to Kyoto Train Station, which was the whole reason of choosing the location; however, once inside the hotel, it felt like you had your own personal hotel. Noise was minimal, the aroma in the lobby once you walk in - relaxing and comfy. Each time we came back from a day of adventuring, it was like coming home. Everything worked in the room and it was spotless. The young lady who checked us in was so sweet and welcoming, we saw her often throughout our stay. Oh! Let's not forget about BREAKFAST! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. We looked forward to waking up and having breakfast each morning. Oishi des! So delicious and a great way to start the day. On our last day, our train didn't leave until 4:00pm- so they graciously held our bags while we could explore more.

The hotel is literally located right next to Kyoto Station, making it incredibly convenient. The interior of the hotel felt almost brand new. Our room was clean and had a Japanese-style design, which really made us feel like we were in Kyoto! We stayed in a standard room, which was a good size for two adults. The bathroom had a generously sized bathtub, which was perfect for soaking after walking around Kyoto in the chilly February weather. Another nice touch was the lounge area, where free drinks and snacks were available—we could help ourselves anytime during our stay. All in all, we were quite happy with two nights at this hotel.

Great location. It's literally cross the road to A3 exit of the train station. Close to food, shopping, public transport and taxi stand. Room clean and is big enough to sleep three, beds are comfortable, and hot water shower is great. There is laundry and smoke room in the hotel, as well as a guest lounge at lower ground where you are spend sometime after checkout and before your flight. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. There is luggage delivery services between the local mitsui garden hotels, as well as the other city which you need staff's help. we sent two luggage to our next stop, very smooth process.

Perfect location on the east side of Kyoto Station, but on a quiet street. Very spacious and clean rooms with air conditioning and air purifier. Comfortable and welcoming common areas. Particular attention to environmental sustainability. Breakfast with a good offer of both Japanese and international dishes. The staff are friendly, helpful and truly professional. Appropriate internet connection and comfortable rest point with tea, coffee and juices available to guests until midnight. Availability of coin-operated washing machines and possibility to leave your luggage after check-out. Highly recommended
